200 Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings

Our foundational yoga teacher training programs ask each trainee to consider the Seat of the Teacher from a social justice perspective as well as offers tools to teach yoga in a trauma-sensitive manner.

Our teacher training curriculum follows the new Competencies-Based Model from Yoga Alliance. This curriculum includes thirteen competences; asana, pranayama & subtle body, meditation, anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, history, philosophy, ethics, teaching methodology, professional development, practicum, and electives.

We teach alignment-based asanas and highlight the importance of the breath.

Free monthly 1:1 coaching is available for all trainees in good standing.

Eye Love Yoga

6 Months

Months of the Program: January-June

Format of the Training: Hybrid (⅓ virtual, ⅔ in-studio)

Structure of the Training: An extended comprehensive session for 13-15 hours every two weeks. Classes are run in a Sunday & Saturday alternating schedule plus one Friday session per month. Program requires completion of 2 yoga immersion courses during the Spring session (March-May)

Typical Schedule: (Weekend 1 Sunday...Weekend 2 Saturday) Sunday classes will be from 1pm-7:30pm, Saturday classes will be from 8:00am-12:00pm and Friday classes will be from 6:30pm-8:30pm. Yoga immersion courses are from 7:00pm-9:00pm.

3 Months

Months of the Program: June-August (this program can be done over 6 months, if needed)

Format of the Training: Hybrid (50% virtual, 50% in-studio)

Structure of the Training: An intensive, 10 hour/week session for 3 months. Classes are Mondays and Wednesdays, in addition to three 15 hour in-studio weekend sessions. Program requires completion of 3 yoga immersion courses. All three courses can be done during the Summer session or can be split up into other sessions.

Typical Schedule: Classes on Mondays are virtual from 6:00pm-9:00pm. Classes on Wednesdays are virtual from 6:00pm-7:00pm. The in-studio weekend trainings are typically scheduled Fridays 6:00pm-9:00pm plus Saturdays and Sundays 12pm-6:30pm.

...the yogi who wants to learn to teach hatha yoga in various forms, dive deep into yoga philosophy, has a somewhat flexible summer and can commit to being in-studio for half of the time

Breath of Love

3.5 Months

Months of the Program: September-mid December (this program can be done over 6 months, if needed)

Format of the Training: 100% virtual (the yoga immersion courses included with this training can be done in-person, if desired)

Structure of the Training: A semi-intensive, concentrated, 16-hour/week session for 3.5 months. Classes are held Monday-Thursday. This is a weekend free training. There are a combination of live video sessions and work assignments done on your own. Program requires completion of 1 yoga immersion course during the Fall session.

Typical Schedule: Mondays: 6:30pm-9:30pm virtual

Tuesdays: 3 hours of work due on your own

Wednesdays: 6:00pm-9:00pm virtual

Thursdays: 2-4 hours of work due on your own

Fridays: 6:00pm-8:00pm virtual (during Weeks 5-9)

Style of Yoga: Hatha, Yin, Restorative & Yoga Nidra

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Required books are not included in the tuition cost.

  • We offer multiple payment plans. 

  • Teacher training students are required to practice at Love Yoga Studio at least once/week.

The graduation retreat is not mandatory, as there is an additional cost to attend. Graduating YTT students attend retreats as retreat co-facilitators. You can view the retreat page to learn more about the retreat facilitator cost and process.
